There are two ways to reach the island of Crete:By Plane: Crete has two international airports: Chania Airport and Heraklion Airport.By Boat: There are daily departures from Piraeus Port to Souda Port in Chania and to the port of Heraklion
Distances:
Chania Airport: 88 km (approximately 90 minutes by car)
Souda Port of Chania: 77 km (approximately 80 minutes by car)
Heraklion Port or Airport: 210 km (approximately 3 hours by car)
From Chania Airport or Souda Port:
1.Follow the signs to the highway in the direction of Chania.
2.Take the highway towards Kissamos.
3.Exit the highway at the Tavronitis – Paleochora Junction (approximately 38 km).
4.Turn right and follow the signs to Kandanos – Paleochora.
5.After about 50 km, you will arrive in Paleochora.
6.Continue on the main road. When you see the corner Pharmacy on your right, turn right.
7.Drive slowly, and when you reach the beach, turn right again.
8.After 50 meters, you will see the “Anatoli” Bakery on your right; turn right there.
9.After 100 meters, you will reach Art Apartments on your left.
From Heraklion Airport or Port:
1.Follow the signs to the highway towards Rethymno – Chania.
2.Take the highway, passing all exits for Rethymno, and continue in the direction of Chania.
3.Pass the exits for Chania and continue on the highway towards Kissamos.
4.Exit the highway at the Tavronitis – Paleochora Junction (approximately 38 km).
5.Turn right and follow the signs to Kandanos – Paleochora.
6.After about 50 km, you will arrive in Paleochora.
